Low pay and treat employee badly

    Intructor (Former Employee) Arlington, VA

ProsWorking hours are flexible. Employment is flexible.

ConsThey pay very low and do not treat teachers as employees. Sometimes work time is bad. For example 2 hours per day and 2 times a week. If you drive you need to pay $12 parking. You cannot find free parking in that area. Although they have a 24 hour cancellation policy they would press the teachers to give free class to please the students. Teachers work as contractors but they provide W-2 not 1099 form. So the teachers can't report as a self-employed language service provider and therefore pay a lot more taxes.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay more and provide 1099 tax form

ConsI can't think of anything I didn't like.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work.
