I worked at Diplomatic Language Services as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Working hours are flexible. Employment is flexible.

    Cons

They pay very low and do not treat teachers as employees. Sometimes work time is bad. For example 2 hours per day and 2 times a week. If you drive you need to pay $12 parking. You cannot find free parking in that area. Although they have a 24 hour cancellation policy they would press the teachers to give free class to please the students. Teachers work as contractors but they provide W-2 not 1099 form. So the teachers can't report as a self-employed language service provider and therefore pay a lot more taxes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more and provide 1099 tax form

I have been working at Diplomatic Language Services

    Pros

What I liked most was working with people from all over the world, constantly learning, and the opportunities I had for growth. I learned something new every day from the teachers and students with whom I had daily contact.

    Cons

    I can't think of anything I didn't like.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.
