Advice to Senior Management

Pros
There are many excellent people to work with at this company, including most management. It can also be a fun environment to work in. They are flexible as far as working hours and time off when needed. Very reasonable vacation and sick days are allotted. Medical benefits are fairly standard - medical, dental and vision. They also have an education assistance plan for upgrading skills within your position. They are currently in the process of trying to catch up with current technologies in some areas, which is creating some interesting projects to work on. The work can be fast-paced and challenging.
Cons
The company seemed to remain stagnant in their business model for many years, and is just now scrambling to catch up with competitors. There have been recent mergers and there is sometimes still a feeling of 'us' vs. 'them'. People have recently been laid off with what seems like very little regard for the actual workloads of the departments affected. As people continue to be laid off, more work is being asked of everyone. The pay is not very good compared to equivalent positions in other industries and the same industry as well. And customer service does not seem to get some of the 'perks' as the rest of the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate with employees. We know what's happening before you are telling us. And, please, turn the phones off for 3 hours and let EVERYONE come to the Christmas party!
Pros
Very good middle-management who allow freedom within the job. Some departments do their jobs extremely well, and everyone underneath senior management communicates very well. Excellent benefits.
Cons
Senior management makes very bad decisions on a daily basis. They are closing down the business, while customers are still loyal, despite being treated very badly by the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn to build a business instead of slash-and-burn. Make intelligent decisions by listening to employees and to customers.
