Startup environment, no 'busy work' - everything is done for a purpose. Really get to see your work make a difference, doesn't just get lost the 'noise' of what everyone else is doing.

Startup, so expect to work whatever hours are needed. Extened travel is sometimes necessary. Comany does have layoffs from time to time.

Pros

Discera is quite famous in the MEMS industry. Their technology is fascinating. The founder (Dr. Clark Nguyen) is quite reputable in academia. He is one of the early pioneers in developing the MEMS resonator technology and he surely has a lot of passion for it. The company culture is very dynamic, enouraging new ideas, new innovations. There are a lot of smart people working at Discera. You can really learn a lot from them.

Cons

It is a venture capital funded company. Threfore, it could become stressful some time because the survivability of this company really depends on each and every one's peformance on daily basis.
