Pros
Great Benefits
Onsite gym
Fun people to work with
Cons
Low on the advancement opportunities
Pay was lower than expected even after incentives
A few too many 'lifers' that weren't contributing to the company and only taking away
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of 'dead weight' managers that don't do anything but take up a salary
Pros
Work life balance/flexible work schedule
Work from home options
Benefits
Willingness to spend money on training
Good executive management team
Cons
No defined career path
Promotions are based on who you know and not results oriented or how hard you work
Middle management is a joke and has been put there because of relationship with upper management regardless of if they have leadership capabilities or not
Salaries do not match industry
Focused more on business model than technology that supports the function of that business
Advice to Senior Management
Develop career path guidelines
Retain top talent through promotions and compensation
Get rid of unproductive staff with less HR restrictions
Invest more in technology orginization
Pros
easy going culture...if you want to come here and have a relatively easy work life, this is the place for you...salary isn't the greatest in the industry...
Cons
raises and bonuses are bad...performance feedback is minimal and useless...performance evaluation is solely at the manager's (and their mgrs) discretion which you can never argue about...
Advice to Senior Management
be bold...take some actions towards building value in the franchise...there has been hardly any growth or diversification in the franchise for the last 20 years.
Pros
Nimble change ability for key initiatives, overall strong employee engagement, strong alignment to the customer experience.
Cons
Work/life balance. Heavy-reliance on IT -- as a marketer you must be able to communicate from a technology perspective in order to get initiatives done (high learning curve). Achronym-heavy.
Advice to Senior Management
enable telecommuting for city-dwellers, it would improve retention for younger hires.
Pros
Benefits and pay are great
Cons
working with management is difficult
Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Great pay, Great Management teams
Cons
Has downsized too many times, employees do not feel "safe"
Advice to Senior Management
Take notice of your loyal and engaged employees, you have let some great people slip away.
Pros
25 days of Paid Time Off.
Cons
Performance evaluations are not taken seriously.
Advice to Senior Management
I have no advice for management.
Pros
-Work/life balance is great
-Good compensation and benefits
-Upper management is pretty accessible - open door policy
Cons
The area I worked in had a lot of gossip and politics going on. It seemed that the quality of work did not matter - it was more about who you were "in" with.
There are a few people within the company who have the potential to turn things around.
Advice to Senior Management
Perhaps focus on more recognition for good work. Specifically on lower level employees as they are the ones doing a lot of the footwork, but not getting any recognition for it.
Pros
Great Benefits
No pressure work environment
Easy to handle staff
Can move around to different positions
Cons
Company does not retain talented individuals
Pay is not based on performance.
Review system is screwed up.
No recognition.
Senior Managment is extremely bad.
Advice to Senior Management
Pull up your socks, get the best talent. Credit card is tough business. Competitors are leagues ahead of us.

Advice to Senior Management
Mr. Nelms, please tear down your wall of mediocracy, pay your best performers better and fire those that don't measure up.
