Former Employee – worked at Discus Dental full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Entrepreneurial, marketing driven and passionate about success. Good people and products, appropriate resources, albeit with a lot of blood sweat and tears invested.
Cons – Ownership not aligned, in pre Philips days, and excessive focus on cost control to position company for sale.
Advice to Senior Management – You bought company for whitening brands (really for Zoom!), dump everything not core to that business.

Current Employee – been working at Discus Dental
Pros – Good team members
Small company, so you get experience in many different areas
Passionate people
Cons – Owners are bleeding the company and eroding the brands.
Owners and at times senior exec's don't respect nor value people, they only reward if they are threatened and its often too late. They don't consider the costs of less than ideal management of human resources.
Advice to Senior Management – Invest and rebuild your products/brands/business/people
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Discus Dental
Pros – Friendly and fun people, great company luncheons and activities, good products and benefits.
Flexible schedules.
Cons – some employees have false sense of entitlement, leading to disrespects toward others causing inefficiency within the company. The same employees contribute nothing to the company as they do not do much work. No opportunities for growth whatsoever.
Advice to Senior Management – re-evaluate certain employees - especially those who have been with the company for a long period as some do not have much contributions to the company.
