It was one of a kind!

Recreation Intern (Former Employee)
Orlando, FL

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts

ProsYou have access to all Disney parks,at all times. You also receive lots of free tickets and guest packages. You get to know all the secrets!

ConsYou will work very hard all the time! They will slave you! There will be crazy hours and days you will have to work with no exception.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would suggest a higher base pay. For the hard work all the employees out in,they should be payed twice as much. Also ,stop being scared to promote employees. Disney promote based on seniority .

Low morale - do not recommend

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Celebration, FL

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts

ProsRespected company and brand
Good benefits
Disney is a company that attracts very good professionals working for them
Good training budget

ConsPolitical and untrusted environment
Most people promoted are not based on merits
Low morale, there are professionals loyal to the brand and there are many that don't really want to be there

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't trreat your employees like they need the job and you are doing them a favor.

Good place to be a server

Food & Beverage (Current Employee)
Orlando, FL

I have been working at Disney Parks & Resorts

ProsAs a food server at disney if you can get into one of the decent places the money can make a VERY comfortable living.

ConsSeasonal/part time cast members are subject to hour "caps" meaning you cannot work more than a certain amount of hours per week with no possible advancement to full time

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep the cast members informed when there are events going on outside the company that cast members can benefit from.

Disney College Program

Lifeguard (Former Employee)
Orlando, FL

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts

ProsYou get to go to the parks for free and get great discounts. disney is such a great company to work for. They provide housing but it does come out of your check. Overall i loved the disney college program!

ConsYou get paid very low and you work from the bottom. You are kind of doing the slave labor forthe company but there are some up to do so. As a lifeguard it can get very busy with alot of responsibility.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf i had to give advise to the management i would say to try and find a way to pay your employees some mroe
