I have been working at Disney Parks & Resorts (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Free sign in, and they generally work with students who are going to school and their school schedule.

    Cons

Low pay, demanding on the mind and body.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try paying the cast members the cost of living.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    + A lot of perks.
+ Opportunity to work with some of the best business people that I have ever met.
+ Many opportunities to grow and learn new skills.

    Cons

    - Very cutthroat.
    - Long hours.
    - The pay sucks
    - Strong corporate culture presence sometimes makes it difficult to get things done. Sometimes this means that you need to do a lot of negotiating with other managers (e.g. "you do this for me, I'll do that for you").
    - Did I mention that the pay sucks?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some department heads (directors, vice presidents) need more oversight. There is high turnover of managers in certain departments for a reason...

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts

    Pros

Free admission to theme parks, meeting interesting people (both other CPs and regular cast members), an impressive name on your resume.

    Cons

You will be overworked and underpaid. The dorm life can get old very quickly, especially if you do the program later in your college career(I don't recommend doing it your senior year or the semester after you graduated).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

From a business perspective it's a brilliant way to get cheap labor that has no union protection and no benefits requirements. Though with that in mind I think calling it an internship is a bit of a stretch. To me an internship implies more of a mentoring opportunity, which is rather lacking in the DCP as a whole.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts

    Pros

There really is something magical about the place.

The college program is a great learning experience and opportunity to find career paths

    Cons

You really learn how hard it is to please the general public.

Hours can be crazy depending on season.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment, benefits, and culture. Very tough due to long hours and the volume of guests visiting WDW, but it's very entertaining and fun.

    Cons

Very low pay, meaning the lowest legally possible. Long hours, management can be insanely strict at times, and a general disregard for the wellbeing and happiness of the employees. No room for human error is allowed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management could be a bit more empathetic to the employees and try to treat them how employees treat the guests. Also, allowing room for human error would make work much less stressful for the workers.
