I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Free access to parks and guess passes. Flex time. Networking within the organization. Many professional development opportunities. Laid-back. Professional. Management emphasizes responsibility to work.

    Cons

Strict guidelines. Hierarchical which is troubling if manager is power-hungry and dictating. Laid-back. Biased performance ratings. Not high energy. No passion or enthusiasm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please self-check upper management because the hierarchical system allows for abuse of discipline and power.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (more than a year)

    Pros

You get an all access pass to all the theme parks, access to water-parks in the off-season, discounted food and passes for the family. Some of my co-workers even went on Disney cruises for employ pricing.

    Cons

Most of the jobs needs standing for long time, dealing with difficult guests, micro-managed by managers, spied on about disney look etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Inform law-enforcement about the drug usage by college program participants. you just let is pass by .

    Pros

Fair and equal opportunity company. Amazing culture and values, constant motivation. Perks are very good.

    Cons

Some managers are not as motivating and smart as one would hope. Lately, Disney has been staying in the past with some of its policies and rides.

    Pros

Good atmosphere, benefits are decent, unionized so its very hard to get fired

    Cons

This particular job was pretty dead end. You could become a trainer or supervisor. They do not work with busy schedules unfortunately. They also expect a lot out of each worker because we serve so many guests.
