I want to go back!

Former – New

Pros – Great experience working around guests who are happy to be there and you take part in "making magic" and memorable experiences for them to remember for the rest of their lives. Free entrance to the park for you and family (limited times). Working at the most "Magical Place on Earth".

Cons – Pay could be better, but OT is always available and easy to make it up if your willing to work.

Advice to Senior Management – Be more involved other than the review times. Be more on stage and conversive with guests and cast.

Disney was an Inspiring, educational, rewarding, and fun place to work.

Current

Pros – Great people, lots of culture, decent pay. Somewhat flexible with the scheduling of days.

Cons – Expect to work on holidays. However, most companies expect this nowadays, so no surprise there.

Advice to Senior Management – Remember very day what happens on the ground floor. Decisions that make perfect sense on paper (and I am sure that they do) do not always work on the ground

The Disney Club: hard to get into, but worth it.

Former

Pros – Once you're in, the Disney family is very loyal. No one ever leaves because they are so happy there--like Disney Land. Promotions are slow to come but they do.

Cons – It does feel like a clique, and you really do have to know someone within, maybe even several people to vet you.

Advice to Senior Management – They're doing a great job. The networking aspect of garnering a position is just part of the industry. But, for an outsider...it's near impossible to secure a position of any merit.
