I worked at Ditech as a contractor

    Pros

Challenging work, great technical staff, flexibility, business casual, great location and facilities

    Cons

Sr Mgement demonstrates obvious favoritism towards his friends who worked directly for him, not everyone pulls their weight and get away with it because they are friends of Sr Mgmt, moral is directly impacted by the favoritism but no one will speak of because they are afraid of losing their job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dont hire friends and if you do keep them at the same standards that you expect everyone else to be.

I have been working at Ditech

    Pros

flexible work hours, friendly coworkers. The atmosphere is relaxed and pressure is high only when occasion demands it. Good human resource

    Cons

stunted work variety, salary raises non existent or miniscule. Lately not much room for fun because of cost cutting. No sense of direction in the way company wants to carve its niche.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its important that directions are chosen carefully and stuck with. Changing them too frequently only makes matter worse.Otherwise a good management.

I have been working at Ditech full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits. Wide variety of work. Cutting edge technology. Huge potential. Flexible hours. Family friendly. Great camaraderie among employees. Small company - everybody knows everybody else.

    Cons

Stock going nowhere. Management absent. Employees not motivated enough. Employees feel exploited by upper management. Excessive regulations for a small company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to loosen up more in terms of employee compensation. More honest assessment of where company is going. Inculcate start up mentality with stock options and other bonuses. Company can only succeed if employees give 150% consistently.
