    Pros

Faculty and staff are great to work with. Great benefits if you are full-time.

    Cons

Salary is well below similar universities and businesses in the surrounding areas. There are not very many options for moving up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of rewarding those that work at and increase their education at your institution and provide more opportunities for those that are already well trained and know the culture of the institution.

I have been working at Dixie State University

    Pros

There are many great employees who care about each other and work great as a team. Overall, Dixie's staff is outstanding. There is a lot of hands-on training.

    Cons

The surrounding area is fairly small, but growing fast. The pay rate isn't the best, but if you are looking for a great company to work for, it is worth the risk.

    Pros

Offers small class sizes and instruction with a personal touch, strong community presence, excellent individual programs of study. Under the leadership of the retiring president, the college moved to University status this past year, and compensation for faculty was equitable to other state institutions.

    Cons

Lacks diversity in student and faculty populations, but this is recognized and remedies are being sought. Seems a bit of the good ol boys club mentality at the higher levels, some community members who contribute heavily seem to have a lot of pull.
