I have been working at Doctors Community Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good size community hospital. Most of the front line staff are nice. My manager works very hard to accommodate my scheduling needs and she is very accessible when I need to see her, even on Sundays. Cafeteria food is great!

    Cons

Executive team dose NOT want to interact with their employees. There are no town hall meetings.

    Advice to Management

Interact with your staff. Most of my co-workers have never seen the CEO Phillip Down.

    Pros

Working at Doctors Community Hospital is very gratifying. The 200 bed hospital is small enough to get to know everyone and yet professional enough to feel like you are making a difference.

    Cons

Currently undergoing tight financial constraints, like all other Maryland hospitals. May need to wait a while to have a job opening if not an RN.

I worked at Doctors Community Hospital as an intern (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I was happy to work at Doctor's Community Hospital because although I was not physically working with patients, I did handle a lot of important documents in which had to be placed into their medical records. Due to my position, I became a part of a team as far as ensuring that the Doctors signed and dictated their charts.

    Cons

If there is no one working together in the unit, it would make it difficult for work to be done in a timely manner.

    Advice to Management

When someone has an unforeseen circumstance, please consider letting them come back to work part time for a period of time.

    Cons

No ladder for advancement of Rns Upper management is not in touch with staff CEO is never visible.

    Advice to Management

Be more visible and interact with staff more regularly. CEO should visit units. Very interesting experience if CEO were to become an "undercover" boss!
