Pros
The manager I had was a nice guy that did try to help the new recruitment.
There was also some flexiblility in the job during the day.
Cons
I don't think my direct manager had much support from senior management.
The commission structure they had at the time was awful, I was supposed to make a certain amount of money and didn't get anywhere close to it
More training was need in how to build relationships with prospects
Advice to Senior Management
By now, I hope a better pay and training structure has been implemented for new recruitment.
I also think a better sense of pride needed to be instilled about the cmpany and a better understanding of what was being sold
Pros
Really great people and immediate peers and supervisors. Well funded and no shortage of work.
Cons
Expect 24/7 access and offer little vacation and holidays. Ramping up hiring but lots of work for not as many people.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more benefits to professional staff. If necessary, separate exempt benefits from non-exempt so can offer more. Allow more work/life balance.
Pros
This is a great job; I absolutely love it so much. The people I work with are great and the management is impeccable.
Cons
The hours fluctuate a lot and have no consistancy. Sometimes you'll run into an angry client and those aren't any fun either.
Advice to Senior Management
Even though I understand how it can be tough, but if you develop more consistency in the schedules for your employees, that'd be great!
Pros
Decent Pay.
decent benefits package.
Co-workers are friendly.
Sites where you work usually have some pretty decent perks for you.
Cons
Small chance of promotion.
Raises are very small.
Bonuses can be cut without warning.
Management tends to look down on employees
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more opportunities to advance or be promoted. Respect employees more. Try to provide employees with better training and listen to suggestions made by them.
Pros
Great intro job to build your resume, and my coworkers have been great. Most people have been very friendly and have gone above and beyond to help me learn the industry (I had no lit support experience when I started).
Several certification classes offered during the coarse of the year.
Cons
Pays employees the bottom 1% of salary range. Upper management does not care about employee moral or retention. Broken promises and "promotions" that come without raises.
Project managers here are expected to be on call 24/7/365. Recently a PM had to skip his own bachelors party because he had to work late.
There are frequent company meeting where net revenue is discussed and its always "great job guys, we are already 100% over the goal" but when reviews came around everyone in charge of raises seemed to forget that.
Terrible benefits package. 401k with no company match. Healthcare that is just as expensive as if you got it on the street (which most people do). 3 paid sick days per year. 1 week paid vacation per year for your first 2 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Read up on employee retention. Learn that happy employees do better work. Most people here would be happy working here if they just received more respect and compensation for doing good.
Pros
National Footprint allows for transfer between geographical locations. Company does invest in software to "get the job done". Some Sr manager are outstanding and knowledgeable.
Cons
Benefits are below industry average. Too many people in decision making positions do not possess the knowledge required to lead
Advice to Senior Management
Start paying your employees fairly. Increase benefits and recognition. Realize that there is more to a successful career than just providing a place to work.
