    Advice to Management

    Pros

It was great company back in days.

    Cons

After 2011 Dollar Thrifty became worst company to work. I was working over 7 years. And I quit this month because of low salary no more commission. More work to do with one manager in two locations. More work less money is not worth of my time. We run out cars all the time and you feel bad when you have no car with someone who wasted his/her time and you tell them I don't have a car for you. Customers calling you all kinds of names because of that...

    Advice to Management

Get involve. Do more work instead of letting your ops MGR do everything. Make sure you care your employees and motivate them. Treat everyone same and don't play race card.

    Pros

Great commisssion schedule. Room to grow.

    Cons

Dollar/ Thrifty has a "core program" which means if you don't make your sales quota your job is over head. 1 month of not making yield and you have 3 months straight to catch up or you go into Core 2 6 months of this and you are fired!!!! Sucks!!

    Advice to Management

come up to airport more often instead of 10 min every 2 days

    Pros

Incentives and vacation hours start as soon as you begin working. Not a hard job. Can get busy around holidays.

    Cons

Open 365. Management wants you there regardless of weather, holiday/family. Depending upon management, can be a very difficult place to work.

    Pros

Great job that allows you to become versatile in many different areas such as fleet, sales, and customer service which all help you become better overall manager. A company car and free gas wherever you travel is a excellent perk you will have also.

    Cons

The parent company has driven away talented employees with poor decision making over the past two years. The morale has take huge blow for the worst and employees are left feeling under appreciated for all the hard work and long hours they put into their jobs.

    Pros

Bigger selection of cars to choose from now then what we had before the takeover, the people for the most part are great to work with....some are better than others to work for however.

    Cons

Where to start?? Since Hertz bought us out we are now treated like dirt, we run out of cars way more than we should, customers complain about this but nobody seems to care about this on the Hertz side. It's as if they really want us to fail even though they bought us out. I don't understand the logic behind it. They take our greeter incentives away, we don't get many cars and the ones we do get a lot of times have issues or very high mileage. And we have very few employees and even less shuttle drivers....so any good cars we do get we have to be very sneaky to get them over to our side. Also Hertz drivers are very lazy and don't want to help us out (or are instructed NOT TO help us out...which could be the case as well!!).

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone the same, don't make it seem like you want DTAG to fail.....we're part of you now, why make it more difficult for us? This must be how it felt to be on the Titanic before they hit the iceberg IMO. I don't see the logic in taking us over but still treating us like the mortal enemy? What gives Hertz????

    Pros

Right now, NONE. Great company before Hertz took over

    Cons

Favoritism and discrimination with employees from other countries.

    Advice to Management

You should have NEVER let the Dollar-Thrifty Management go. You have ruined what was an EXCELLENT company to work for.

    Pros

    The people are alright,

    Cons

Abuse from Hertz, Overworked & WAY Underpaid, Time off is in 2 buckets, no significant perks, Frequent Turnover

    Advice to Management

Everyone should be making about $2 - $3 more, there is way too much turnover & something needs to be done about that, We should have the option to move 40 vacation hours to the next year like before. I really hope that John Tague (Current CEO Hertz-Dollar/Thrifty) can turn this company around.
