I worked at Dollar Tree part-time

    Pros

Flexible schedule, I had a great manager

    Cons

Minimum wage, rude customers, not enough employees working at a time

    Advice to Management

More people on one shift. When I worked the evening shift (5-10 pm), we were only allowed to have one cashier and one manager on duty. That is not enough people to run till and clean/close the store!

  2. Ok place to work

I worked at Dollar Tree part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty easy job. Great job for teens or older people

    Cons

Minimum wage job and very hard to get pay increased

I worked at Dollar Tree (More than a year)

    Pros

If you have a good team it can be a good place to work. Keeps you active.

    Cons

Doesn't pay much. Can get frustrating with the constant changes.

    Advice to Management

Not all of the seasonal stuff needs to be moved every week, it's often a waste of time.

I worked at Dollar Tree part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will earn every penny!! Physical labor is a must, but it's a great work out as long as you don't mind hard work.

    Cons

The expectations from upper level is an impossible task to acheive, under staffed, underpaid and over stressed.

    Advice to Management

Employees should feel valued, and paid to the demand of the job.

I have been working at Dollar Tree full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dollar tree can be a fun and exciting job. You will have great moments with the customers and your fellow associates. When things run smoothly your work time will too.

    Cons

When different management comes in it makes work difficult. Your old schedules and plans just will not work the same and your bound to lose a couple of associates with the change. Cashiers come and go like crazy

    Advice to Management

Teamwork is the key. When everyone is passionate and willing to make their store awesome, everything falls into place. But with just one person out of line it can mess up a whole lot of things. Just stay positive and keep busy! Love your job and it will show!!

I worked at Dollar Tree part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Flexible scheduling in most cases (expect to work holidays more often than not) - Work is not taxing whatsoever - Easygoing work environment - Good job for student-aged folks

    Cons

    - One 10-minute break per five-hour shift - Low opportunity for job advancement - May be monotonous for people who desire more stimulating work - Minimum-wage and not much else

    Advice to Management

Up the wage a little bit and give more opportunities for advancement from the ground-up. Let people get a little more break time.
