I have been working at Dominion Enterprises

    Pros

Company culture is awesome! Activities and benefits are great with some of the best in the area. Employees "seem" generally happy.

    Cons

Favoritism abounds! Beware the "open door policy". If you go to the boss's boss prepare to be written up - hard. They seemed very lenient at the time, but absences became a player in the write up. It definitely depends on the supervisor you have as to how happy you are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management knows there is a salary mismatch of the jobs being performed. We spend hundreds of thousands on training, but they do not have a corporate trainer on site and spend money every month to fly them to the corporate location. Couln't we have that moey towards our paychecks?

    Pros

Great lower level people create a very inclusive atmosphere.

    Cons

Management can seem hostile (favoritism is rampant) at times and simply bloated and inefficient the majority of times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut out waste and focus on a more motivational culture

I worked at Dominion Enterprises full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A comfortable, safe, and well organized working environment. My co-workers and supervisors were a joy.

    Cons

Pay does not suffice the workload responsibilities.
Upper Management is rigid. Their SOP's were branded in stone. So, sometimes moral got low, and you are typically treated like a number.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please see above statement.
I wouldn't recommend this company to just any friend. A chosen friend would need to be a "text book" qualified candidate for the right employment opportunity.

I worked at Dominion Enterprises part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

When you don't hold a manager position you don't have many people looking over your shoulder. The people are really nice.

    Cons

This is your typical Corporate America business. Promotions come from how long you've been there, not necessarily if you are right for the job. A lot of middle management is doing nothing and can't manage their employees well. They also over work and way under pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees what they are worth. And actually promote for ability not because they've been there forever.

    Pros

excellent work home balance. good compensation, paid parking, good work environment, excellent training program
