Pros
People
Not boring
Advancement opportunities
Invest heavily in employee training & education
Cons
Lots of travel-can be fun at times
Competitive
Cliques
No real work life balance. Work is your life.
Pros
If you are willing to do the work, it is easy to reach a high level within the stores. It is a phenomanal place to learn the basics of "how a restaurant works".
Cons
If you are in it to get rich you will be sadly dissapointed. Pay is on par for other pizza delivery companies, however, standard fast food pays much more.
Advice to Senior Management
Paying store managers a livable wage is a wonderful place to start. I have 2 children, and although with careful planning and resonable expectations, I could adjust my schedule as needed for them, I still didn't earn enough money. I qualified for food stamps as a store manager. That is pretty sad considering I had maxed out the premotion scale at my restaurant, and worked 55-60 hours per week. I wanted to be proud of having a good job, but instead had to be embarrassed that I qualified for welfare.
Pros
- good pay and tips
- great company culture
- adequate pay
- great people to work with
- good side job
Cons
- limited advancement opportunities
- pay increase is out of the question
- not much room for career growth
- location matters
Advice to Senior Management
- man up and admit your mistakes
- get the orders right and on time
- hire competent people, not just your family or friends
Pros
They do help you train; they want you to know how to make their products and to be able to do so in a timely and correct fashion. If you work for a corporate store, you can receive benefits.
Cons
Low pay and not very great opportunities for advancement, particularly for franchise stores. You usually end up working late and sometimes the volume of sales it too much for the amount of employees on hand, making work stressful.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more opportunities for employees, offer better pay, and offer benefits. Make sure that under-performing General Managers are handled with!
Pros
Ability to move up in the company. The trainer for Atlanta was wonderful until the corporate stores were sold.
Cons
Horrid work schedule. Incompetent managers.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay managers what they deserve.
Pros
When you include tips, the pay is amazing for an entry level job. It's a great place to work, with a fun atmosphere and good people. If you do a good job, you'll have opportunities to advance into store management and then into either corporate or your own franchise. Management really cares about the employees.
Cons
It's pizza delivery. Depending on where you are, it can be dangerous. It's not something that's going to make you rich. But it's a lot better than working retail or foodservice at the mall.
Advice to Senior Management
