Pros
You make friends and stay busy. Managers were always flexible with your schedule and they did their best to help you
Cons
There were little advancement opportunities, but what do you expect from a dead end job. It can be stressful when there's a lot of orders to make.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees with respect and please don't treat them like "slaves". You can always be kind and friendly as well as provide a little encouragement.
Pros
Relaxed atmosphere (at times), very straightforward job (easy to learn), short hours (this can be good for some, bad for others)
Cons
Extreme wear and tear on your vehicle (LOTS of stop and go), If you don't get good tips you lose money since you're only making three bucks an hour on road, if the labor ticker shows that labor is too high the manager on duty will cut everyone he\she can even if you've only worked 1 1\2 hours out of a 4 hour shift, manager can be very unprofessional, hours can drop from 36 to 13 without warning and for no reason, if you aren't all nice and friendly with the manager you'll get treated like you're no one.
Advice to Senior Management
Act professional, give employees the recognition and hours they deserve, don't take our hours and give them to your two assistant managers (40 hours plus overtime? they're getting paid more than us, THEY'RE why labor is so high)
Pros
To own your own franchise.
Cons
The stagnant economy has put alot of long time franchisees out of business. Thank you Mr. President.
Advice to Senior Management
Try offering more help to those franchisees who are struggling, they made you.
Pros
The pay as a driver was decent, it was minimum wage plus tips customers gave you. (Area I worked in gave great tips.) Always had enough hours to go around in a busy store. You get to be outside the store, in your own car, listening to you own music etc.
Cons
Hardly ever got off work the time you were suppose to, I'd be there for 2 or 3 hours after my shift until the "store slowed down" so the manager could process my deliveries for the day. Felt like I did the work of a driver and CSR (customer service representative) who mainly answered phones, took orders and made pizzas. I did this on top of actually delivering pizzas most days because there too cheap to have an adequate amount of employees in the store during "the rush". Overall stressful, fast pace and only worth it if your a Driver, friend of mine was in store CSR and hated it even more. plus no scheduled breaks on 8 hr+ shifts, "down time was break time"... if that ever came.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop being so cheap and schedule more CSR's during the day to help the manager make pizzas, and make ALL drivers take orders on the phone too, not just the ones that speak english better than others...be fair.
Pros
Good money
Fun people to work with
Lots of social interaction
Cons
Employees are treated like children
Management acts like children
Pros
Flexible schedule, relaxed, but good hardworking environment.
Cons
Administrative areas needs substantial improvement
Advice to Senior Management
The manager at the location I worked at was a well-rounded manager. I hope she stays that way.
Pros
Fast-paced, energetic workplace. If you're young and talented, it is an easy opportunity to get some management experience. The pay is not bad, and if you can make bonus, it makes it more than adequate.
Cons
Most owners have horrible benefits packages unless you're working for a corporate-owned store. There is a lot to deal with if you have staffing issues and management breathing down your neck to improve the store at the same time.
Advice to Senior Management
District managers must be allowed to focus on providing assistance when needed at their stores rather than having to run their own store at the same time.
Pros
Great benefits, training and exposure to upper level management. Meaningful work assignments that result are used in strategic decision making.
Cons
Pay could be better, but other benefits make up for it. Upward mobility is accelerated if employees have hand on experience in operations and running a store.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work and the great corporate culture. It's an amazing corporation and success will follow if the values are practiced.
Pros
tips and the opportunity to make as much money as an actual decent job.. and money in your pocket everyday you work
Cons
somewhat stressful environment, once your a driver you dont want to move up in position cause you are making more money per hour than your boss
Advice to Senior Management
Staff store managers with people who have a great work ethic instead of who you are friends with
Pros
It's an easy job, and it's not too hard to move up to Manager. They pay is okay if you're having a hard time finding a job elsewhere.
Cons
My particular franchisee was not a good boss. This may differ with different franchisees. It is completely different if you work for Domino's corporate.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees well and they will treat you well.
