Poor management, poor hourly wage for those not working for tips.

    I worked at Domino's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Delivering pizza was good money, good hours, good opportunity to grow within the company. The food is a definite plus.

    Cons

Chances of getting a bad shift where there aren't many deliveries is frequent. The revolving door of employees burdens the loyal efficient workers with picking up the slack. I'm concerned anytime i see a permanent sign on a window that says "Now Hiring".

    I worked at Domino's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I delivered pizzas for Domino's for a few months. The store was open till the wee hours of the morning but the manager never scheduled me for very late after I requested that he not (I was working another job at the time).

    Cons

Plugging in orders in the system was not the most straight-forward. They could also stand to update the point-of-sale system.

    I worked at Domino's

    Pros

Excellent part time job for extra money. Flexible scheduling, cash in hand every shift. Awesome people at my location.

    Cons

Late nights on the weekends. Usually must work a Friday or Saturday night. Some of the hires you work with are not the best people, but they usually don't stick around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your good mangers more so they won't get turned off and leave.

    I worked at Domino's full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The freedom of being in your car and away from management

    Cons

Everything else. Micromanaged to the point where you don't even need to think for yourself. They make you pay for uniforms, including a coat in the winter (about $80) and if you don't buy it you can't wear any other coat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should stop sitting in the office all day and actually help your staff when they're backed up.

I have been working at Domino's

    Pros

On a good night, tips are okay, you may make upwards of 70 to 100 in one night, which is okay, but I have seen higher out of a server from other restaurants and other places.
    Co workers become like family.
Its a multi billion dollar food chain market...its not going to go away anytime soon.

    Cons

-Horrible Management. At first It went great, the hours were solid and I did not request any days off. I simply told them that I was a college student and that I had class during the day every other day so on those specific days, I could not work till after a certain time to allow for travel back home and to the store. After about a month, it flew out the door. I would be put on shifts that clearly went against my schedule that I had already told them about.
-NEVER GET OFF ON TIME!!! Now ive been told this one is illegal, but it comes down to management again. I am okay with getting off about 15-30 minutes late if it is very busy. What I am NOT okay with is working 4 HOURS OVER MY TIME!! Which is exactly what would happen. and it was a repeating occurrence! Every time I worked they would add more and more hours and then act irritated when you told them that you had to go home.
-Compensation for you vehicle is shotty at best. After many months of working here, I put about 70-100 miles a night on my car. They have mileage pay where they pay you a couple of cents per mile. Don't be fooled though, It barely covers enough to fill up your tank, AND THATS AFTER TIPS! This leaves you with the option to try to survive on the $4 an hour and hope nothing goes wrong with your vehicle thats costly, because all the money goes into the gas tank.
