I worked at Doximity as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

I interned at Doximity in the Summer of 2014 as a Software Development Intern and had a blast. The following applies to the engineering side and especially to entry level engineers.

    - Great people & culture. Everyone that I worked with at Doximity was fun, laid back, and seriously smart. They pair you with a mentor at the beginning of the summer who helps with code reviews, implementation, and the like. Also, they have quarterly offsites which are very entertaining.

    - Strong Vision and Leadership: The CEO is a proven rockstar. There is clear vision, a humble up and to the right growth mindset and some real direction in the company. Every move the company makes feels like it has a purpose, and is easy to get behind.

    - Lots of room to grow and try new things. While Dox is growing, there still feels like there is room for innovation, so they encourage employees to hack on side projects ('Golden ticket' contests).

    - Wednesday Work from Home - For most people this is probably a great thing. I found that I got less work done from home, but different strokes for different folks.

    Cons

Almost nothing. A really amazing company with really amazing people,
    - Intern compensation is just decent.

I have been working at Doximity full-time

    Pros

    - Many of the good things of classic startup culture (small teams, collaboration, mission-driven, casual, fun) without the drama and stress that can often be a trade off with young companies
    - CEO has previously founded and led a health startup to IPO, has deep experience
    - Super kind and friendly team
    - Nice mission, work directly helps doctors all across the US
    - Company is mature and stable far beyond its three years of history

    Cons

    - Office hours are very reasonable but people do take work home with them nights & weekends
    - San Mateo location can be a commute challenge (company provides Caltrain passes)
    - Odd mix of rugs in the office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep focus on team culture as the company grows.

I worked at Doximity full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The environment is very young, energetic, and passionate. Everyone is driven to ship as much code as quickly as possible, which really speeds up progress. The CEO is great at keeping the morale high. Culture is also still maintained, even though the company is growing really quickly. The perks are nice, especially the periodic off-sites, where everyone gets the chance to know each other on a more personal level.

    Cons

There's a certain level of pride/hubris that can be detected among the team, not that it's entirely undeserved. Also some politics and drama under the waters, but that's present at any company. They expect employees to be able to hit the ground running and won't waste too much time trying to train you if you can't pick things up very quickly.

    I worked at Doximity

    Pros

    - Big growth and vision coming from strong leadership in CEO, who is also a proven winner
    - Party culture with quarterly ragers
    - Clean code stack, allowing for quick feature development
    - Willing to take risks and take media heat

    Cons

    - Most importantly Doximity lets people go VERY quickly, whether they were contractors or fulltime. Solid performers will be there one day and gone the next, so be careful. I'd advise talking to past employees.
    - Dubious tactics around building registration

I worked at Doximity as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Doximity is a mid-size company full of the most incredibly hard working people I have ever met. Everyone is an expert in their field and on the cutting edge of health technology. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, each day I learned something new.

    Cons

Can't think of any other than that my internship had ended

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing! It's great to have such a hands on CEO. Great transparency between the upper management and employees
