Pros
You can collect a paycheck
Cons
Not a real digital agency, everyone seems to be a print person trying to do digital. Limited resources.
Advice to Senior Management
Need better communication and get digital staff!
Pros
it is spirited group of junior / mid level people. the agency does provide great corporate training, especially to entry level candidates. i would consider the chicago office to be a good place to start a career.
Cons
senior management is a disaster as a result of political upheaval. the draft versus fcb dispute is unresolved and creates unrest that trickles down the entire food chain. you're lucky if you can find a way for it not to disturb career advancement or opportunity in the long term.
Pros
Great clients and great people
Cons
Poor leadership. Agency needs better leaders
Advice to Senior Management
Better leadership
Pros
Great talent at certain levels of the organization
Cons
Terrible account team in many places
Advice to Senior Management
Great talent exists within your organization. Don't feel compelled to simply hire "outside" to get what you need.
Pros
Looks good on your resume; many career opportunities within one organization; good benefits; some very good people; creative minds; good location; you will learn a ton.
Cons
Draft/ FCB did not integrate well, politics and drama, big egos, no confidentiality, lack of heart, games, unhealthy environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership and Human Resources need to be fair and listen to employees - even if they are providing feedback regarding Leadership level people and dissatisfaction in their department. Human Resources preaches to employees to come to them, as it is confidential, yet nothing is confidential and rather a conspiracy. Years ago, companies had heart and loyalty was commended. Now, large companies, with leadership levels and egos are all drama and games. The environment is so unhealthy. But like all politics, it will be a vicious cycle until the highest level reigns in the madness or one person starts to make an honest difference.
Pros
decent accounts to work on
decent reputation as a long time employer
talented coworkers
Chicago location is great
cafeteria solves the lunch problem
Cons
not enough big picture thinking
not being digital enough
digital needs to lead the engagement not be an afterthought
reliance on too many outside vendors
work spaces are too dark - turn on the lights
Advice to Senior Management
focus on digital to remain competitive
Pros
movement opportunity if you make it known and drive the change, resources, talent
Cons
can get lost in the size, equality of promotion opportunity judegment, pay often lower and inconsistent
Advice to Senior Management
recognize not everyone can be or should be a rock star - every client needs a different kind of talent
Pros
The people are great and fun to work with
Cons
Not so many opportunities and HR isnt very involved
Advice to Senior Management
Be more involved
Pros
The employees helped me out, I loved it
Cons
I don't know, You have to be there really early.
Advice to Senior Management
It's great I loved that experience
Pros

Cons
