Pros
Many opportunities to learn and grow, learn about various functions and areas of advertising. Opportunities to learn about industry trends and working with clients. Work is varied and interesting...I enjoyed all the projects I worked on.
Cons
Would be good to have more interaction with colleagues and interns in other departments. Overall, great experience though...not a lot of cons.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership is very receptive...continue to stay updated on trends in the industry and the agency presentations are great...allow more opportunities for colleagues to connect across departments.
Pros
1. Casual, relaxed employees
2. Nice office location, with parks and waterfront a short stroll away
3. Approachable senior management at this location
Cons
1. High turnover of employees; one account had a near 100% turnover on the account team within months
2. Office space overcrowding, with cramped quarters; there was sometimes a line to use the restroom
3. Low employee morale
4. Lack of follow-through on promises of employee training, etc.; some training sessions were cancelled and never rescheduled
5. Questionable decision-making by middle management
Advice to Senior Management
Perhaps a critical eye should be taken to middle management and HR at this location. I would try to improve employee morale and make sure the best hiring and layoff choices are being made. Focus more on creating quality work, rather than cutting costs.
Pros
DraftFCB has a great staff of people who work very hard on each piece of business. These people also make for a nice working environment.
Cons
The very senior executive level leaders seemed out of touch with the staff in general and communication from the top down could also have been improved.
Advice to Senior Management
Better corporate communication would go a long way with improving overall staff morale. Closer management of promotions and compensation would also help.
Pros
I enjoyed interning at Draftfcb, everyone was really cool and seemed to work to their fullest potential. Plenty of opportunities for career advancement.
Cons
Very corporate setting, it often took a while to get the OK on projects and sometimes the Senior Management is slow to react to the changing environment of the advertising world.
Advice to Senior Management
They just hired a recent new CCO which has helped there cause but I think they need to get a little more edgy with their work.
Pros
If you are tenacious, you can weave your way through. There is definitely room to move up, but making the right alliances is key.
Cons
Career savvy-ness is key. This place can get pretty political too. Have a plan, work the plan and no when it's time to exit. Some people are nice, but the culture in some departments isn't the friendlies and can be pretty cliquey. Middle management could use a serious cleansing.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't promote people to middle management who do not have management skills. It leads to either micromanagement or disengaged delegation. It also leads to disillusioned employees and inefficiency.
Pros
Nice office, good talent, for the most part
Cons
Loads of turnover, and your entire experience will rely on how good your team is.
Advice to Senior Management
Do more to retain your talent. It's very unsettling for employees to constantly have to deal with so much change.
Pros
It's young, hip, fun, glam, and dramatic. Great place to start your career or to get into the industry. Good benefit package including health and generous paid time off. Fun dynamic office.
Cons
Long hours and pay may not be market rate but to be able to say you work in the industry is priceless.

Pros
The vacation time is exceptional, the commute is fantastic, the working conditions are nice and the coffee bars is greatly missed.
Cons
After 3 years of employment and I cant say senior management even remembers my name. I had 9 separate bosses that either quit or got fired. While they chase away all the competent help while turning over the incompetent constantly, I just kept my head down for as long as i could until they set there sights on me. The constant conflict between digital and the print media focused brand team was nauseating.
Advice to Senior Management
Give more respects and notice the people who actually do the work. Look to advance from within instead of constantly placing new managers over existing employees at a constant frantic rate. Ask you employees for their input, instead of blindly following your philosophy. They might know a bit more about the process.
Pros
Most years, received a raise each year for cost of living. Attracted some good talent. Hard working people at all levels.
Cons
HR - wouldn't approve a raise my last year, saying I was highly paid for my position and I had received too many raises over my years with the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Demonstrate employees' value and they will provide hard work back.
Pros
The people at DraftFCB are excellent to work with and provide to for a fun day, everyday. The opportunities provided are good as well. Excellent learning opportunity.
Cons
As an intern you do not apply for a specific account, therefore you can be put somewhere that isnt a perfect match.
Advice to Senior Management
Supply the ability to work in more departments; to provide a more full experience and a braoder knowledge of the industry.
