Dragon Media Online Reviews
Pros – The people, the growth opportunities, and the ability to participate at all levels
Cons – No big frills (no free food or "googlesque" benefits)
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Learned some new skills and the type of company I don't want to be a part of in the future. Also, did have some fun people working there.
Cons – Management lacked a sense of direction. Made broad sweeping changes without bringing in key stakeholders. Top management was very exclusive, definitely didn't feel welcome to share ideas. Also, management was last to arrive and first to leave, setting a poor example. Management gave a great initial impression, but it quickly became clear that they weren't that invested in the company's future.
Advice to Senior Management – Lead by example. Stop leaving in the middle of the day for "coffee breaks" without including others. Provide better training and empower your employees.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – *Responsive tech support
*Young co-workers who nearly melt away all your cynicism
*No flak if you want to take a decent lunch break to go work out or whatever
*Support for telecommuting
Cons – *Some of the most unqualified drones I've ever met promoted to management
*Spooky empty desks and offices; an atmosphere of a place which was once full but now is mysteriously reduced by 60%
*People shouting into speaker phones all the time. Nobody seems to know how to use a handset.
*Nobody agrees on what the product really is
Advice to Senior Management – If you're an Internet company, hire people with Internet company experience. If you're a sales company, hire salespeople. Don't try to mix the two, since these are totally different disciplines.
