I have been working at Dream Town Realty full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

drip email campaigns and direct mailer programs

    Cons

The attitude at dreamtown is "yes, we help new agents" but the truth is, there is no real support, guidance or leadership for new agents whatsoever.

And the splits are a joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-make the managers accountable for the agents
    - have them building rapport with new agents instead ignoring them
-have actual training sessions that teach how to prospect, and run listing appointments

Best For Agents New To Real Estate

I worked at Dream Town Realty as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good lead generating system
    - Good marriage of technology and customer service
    - Nice office space
    - Cultivates a culture where other agents will help you resolve issues with your listings or clients
    - Invests in training of agents
    - Company outings
    - Supportive staff
    - Lots of marketing materials provided, including website and professional photos

Good place for agents new to real estate who need a faster start in building up a customer base. I truly liked the other agents in the office and didn't feel like I was competing against them ever.

    Cons

    - Splits and fees not the greatest if you're a top producer who doesn't need much hand holding
    - "Interesting" agency agreement
    - Perform of "else"
    - Suspected favoritism of choice listings/customers

Not so good once you are able to sustain your own business. The help and support is still there, but the commission splits remain the same. If you are a seasoned agent looking to work at Dream Town, try to negotiate a different contract before coming on board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put in place a commission structure to keep your top producers. If you really do want to keep them, that is.

I have been working at Dream Town Realty

    Pros

Leads System; Work-Life Balance; Training; Management support for agents; Not a lot of sales meetings; Dream Town Blend Coffee; Ability to communicate effortlessly within the company; Free pizza on Friday's; Great parties; Massage and Yoga

    Cons

Technology can be a bit sluggish; Perception of favoritism; Never knowing if you're going to have a job. Micro-management; Not enough hours in the day to accomplish what needs to be done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tune into your employees and trust them to do a great job for you. Sweating the small stuff when the big stuff needs some attention; More work than the current staff can effectively handle. This causes mistakes and lesser quality. Outstanding personal support.
