    overall positive

Vice President (Former Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsEnded up working with a great team that focused on what each person could contribute without worrying about hierarchy.

ConsSome management promoted based on ability to complete transactions rather than ability to manage employees

    Average place to work at.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsSmall environment allowing great exposure to other businesses and groups. More hands-on opportunities given the smaller structure of groups.

ConsLack of clear vision from senior management. Lack of communication by senior management. Extremely more red tape than at a large bulge bracket firm.

Advice to Senior ManagementReally listen to what your employees are trying to tell you and make the effort to act on it.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Such a shame

Analyst (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsFull of lots of really smart & talented people - as good as at any other investment bank.
A really great fun place to work.

ConsDK should have been a powerhouse but was paralysed by risk-aversion in Dresdner Bank itself.
As a result, never have I seen so little performance extracted from so much talent.
At ground level it was riven with by a vicious war between quant and IT which paralysed progress on many levels.

Advice to Senior ManagementBit pointless now as DK no longer exists - but DK did not have a clear strategy although it was trying to clarify it. At lower level there should have been a serious and strong stamp-down on political wars between departments - shut up, or be fired basically.
