Pros
Team spirit is excellent and there is a real sense of working together to get the best results for clients. Strong learning atmosphere, and huge opportunities to shine if you want to. Everyone I know who has ever left to go to another bank has always said they enjoyed the atmosphere at DKIB more than anywhere else they have worked.
Cons
Strategy and ownership issues have dogged the place for years. Now that Commerzbank are taking it over, these will hopefully be finally sorted out, most probably by closing parts down.
Advice to Senior Management
Wish there were some to offer advice to.
Pros
With all the redundancies on the street, still having a job is upside enough.
Cons
The uncertainty over the future of the bank after the takeover by Commerzbank mean nodody knows if they have a job in two months.
Advice to Senior Management
Greater transparency regarding the future of the bank.
Pros
Dresdner Kleinwort is big enough to matter in the industry and differentiates through giving people room to be creative and take different viewpoints. People share a professional attitude and you can feel it when talking to them. High quality individuals really challenge you everyday, which is good as it also gives new people the chance for a steep learning curve Yet, people are approachable, almost on every level.
Cons
Payment is rather market average and other competitors pay better. However Dresdner Kleinwort can be a good springboard for people new in the industry to gain first hand knowledge.
