    Pros

When I started here I was offered more than the minimum wage, my coworkers were great, and I got a discount on the clothes. Working here really developed my name recall and I got good at multitasking and prioritizing.

    Cons

The company cheated me out of four cents per hour when raise time came around. The higher ups are out of touch, they don't understand how retail at the store level works, and as a consequence they don't run the company well. The stress and pressure they put on my managers made them grumpy and hard to work with, especially the store manager (thanks, Gil!). Also, this wasn't the companies fault but it was still a con, as a small woman working in a store that many larger women frequent I was routinely subjected to anti-thin woman prejudice. Having people constantly mocking your weight and even call the store and lie to get you in trouble BECAUSE you are smaller than them was definitely not a perk. I am thankful for the many larger customers who saw past my weight and allowed me to help them but the rotten apples sure left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Advice to Management

This is to the higher ups, not store level managers: come work in your stores for a year before you start telling us what we should and should not be doing. Unreasonable demands alienate your workers and make them not want to do a good job. No one up there seems to have any real retail experience and it shows.

    Pros

Fun atmosphere and flexible hours. Good discount on clothes.

    Cons

There isn't a lot of room for advancement, if that is something you are interested in doing. Schedules change frequently, sometimes without warning.

    Pros

Pros are the dear Jaffe's the owners, if only they knew the horrible behaviors that occurred, ,, they truly want to run a great company, u r free to make schedules, only 40 hour work weeks, went hourly so ot is paid to EVERYONE! Vacation and benefits are fair.

    Cons

I did not realize how miserable I was until I left. You are truly judged by everything and the gossip of DL and regionals has been unreal. I have never worked for a company so u professional in my 18 years of management! This company does not practice what they preach at all! Corporate really needs to getting a hold on what is underneath them bc it is not the pretty pictures they paint.

    Advice to Management

Know your DL'S AND REGIONAL MANAGERS! Have exit interviews especially from your store leaders, I know a large group who come to those meetings from Gil and corporate and cut the entire team up when they leave, its a joke, I could not take it anymore, so negative !
