    - Very active work environment - Customer service position (both pro and con)

    Pros

I had a really good experience working as an intern last summer! The environment was really welcoming, and I learned so much from my peers. There were very helpful workshops led by HR at least once a week, including an interview and resume workshop. Would recommend.

    Cons

Not very many cons, I definitely know that they're trying to keep the program going. It was a great introduction to the corporate world.

    Pros

Good discount, enjoy working with the customers it can be rewarding

    Cons

Low pay scale. All associates are part time and cannot receive benefits Only management is full time Associates are kept in the dark regarding anything to do with what is happening in the store we are told to wait on customers and ring the Register Management sticks together

    Advice to Management

Promote within. Treat your associates ike their job is important as the management Associates work very hard and for very little pay. Give each associate a job within the store not just waiting on customers, we want to feel part of the whole exerience. It's what keeps us motivated and energized

    Pros

Good benefits Good pay Fun customers Positive reinforcement Flexible vacation time Employee discount "Girl power" type of environment Encourages stories Supports employees with grants for schooing and crisis

    Cons

Constantly changing because of rebranding Upper management has a very diluted idea of what fashion is or what a women should wear when she is proud of her looks. We all don't need to wear 1,000 pieces of jewelry and colors that don't matxhbour skin tone just to sell or feel good.

    Advice to Management

Less concentration on "development" and more on getting work done. So much pressure on assistant managers because store leaders don't work, they are too busy with pointless paperwork. If you want work/life balance when everyone should work when at work.

Great fashion for career women. Great prices and durability. Buyers are on cutting edge. I was proud to be a part of their company for over 14 yes. Good work life balance. I took with me the core values Dress Barn.

    Cons

I spent all my money on clothes.

    Advice to Management

I had 11 DMs in 14 yes. Maybe give the DMs a work life balance.

    Pros

Quality Customer Service Great Discount Nice Clothes Fun Enviroment Flexible Hours

    Cons

Often Over-Staffed Low Pay Little to no opportunity for advancement Avoid it if you don't like to always do the same thing

    Advice to Management

Consider giving part time employees the opportunity to advance and see a pay raise. It seems unfair that pay raises are based on that particular stores performance instead of the employees.

    Pros

Love the people I worked with, helping customers, good health insurance if full time, vacations and personal time, 401k plan.

    Cons

Raises Low, goals set so high, that employees steal sales, so the company will 5 and dime you.

    Advice to Management

    No Problem from management.
