I have been working at Driscoll Children's Hospital full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

good teamwork, a medical-surgical hospital with different cases that will help you learn more, individual performance-based salary increase, more of patient safety, skilled nurses, doctors and other allied health workers, very accommodating to parents with sick child, nurse-patient ratio is acceptable at most part, no contract when hired.

    Cons

    getting floated to other areas

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

to ask the bedside nurses regarding review of charge nurses performance in the unit

I worked at Driscoll Children's Hospital full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Employees genuinely seemed more positive than anywhere else I'd worked. Additionally, the pay was better for my position than for similar positions at other hospitals.

    Cons

The pharmacy leadership dynamic has been in flux for some time, leading to a shaky internship program.

I have been working at Driscoll Children's Hospital

    Pros

The patient's are awesome. The benefits package is good. The nursing staff is like a second family.

    Cons

It is a teaching facility, one is constantly dealing with new resident physicians. The CEO has designated himself the CNO, and placed a radiology technician with a Masters in business over the entire operations, so the nursing has very little protection or advocacy. There is no holiday pay. Equipment is outdated.
