    Pros

Great work environment, job security (the company expanded during the "great recession"), fun work environment, the company helps you to develop and grow with the company, good opportunities for career growth. On the management side you can really learn a lot about running a business.

    Cons

DriveTime has come to rely so heavily on data, charts, and graphs that it feels like you can be micromanaged. Long hours, especially during tax season (up to 55-60 hours per week) become overwhelming to the mind and body. The company expects more and more but gives you less and less for what you do! While the company is having their most profitable year ever, the guys at the top are enjoying their HUGE bonuses while the front line retail employees get paid even less to do more work.

    Advice to Management

If you expect college grads to stick around for the long run, try to condense the excessively long work hours. Increase the salary for entire management staff (the pay structure is sub-par). I believe the company should also share profits- and I mean by giving your hardworking employees raises. DriveTime, it feels like every year you come out with a new pay structure that shafts your employees and makes them work longer hours, sell more cars, make more phone calls- all for less pay! Pay your employees more.

We appreciate your honest feedback. In regards to data, we want to be as efficient as we can in, but we do see how it can seem like we are micromanaging. That’s not our intention. We are taking steps ... More

    Pros

Not a truly high stress job. Once you have a grasp of the general concept you can go far in the company our stay where you are and make great money.

    Cons

During peak time you will have to work longer than usual hours. This is something that is understood outside of tax season hours are ok.

    Advice to Management

Spend a little more time in training new associates outside of that a good company to work for.

    Pros

Great culture, promotional opportunities and very competitive pay. Company continuing to grow. The management at Drivetime always has an open door and seem to genuinely care for their employees.

    Cons

Nothing too much to comment on. Every company has opportunities to become greater. Drivetime can continue to stay dialed into their employees, solicit feedback and implement changes that will have a positive impact on the work environment.

    Advice to Management

Drivetime is a great company with a great business model. Management needs to continue doing a great job of identifying talent and growing the next generation of Drivetime leaders.

    Pros

This is a fun workplace, with a lot of room for growth. I have been here for over a year, I saw couple of people got promoted. I personally like the money I make as an agent with Zero stress. The people I work with make it worth coming to work every day!! The company is growing and there are a lot of opportunities for growth specially if you are willing to move!

    Cons

Working some Saturdays! Tax season we work extended hours.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on One on One interaction!
