ProsAggressively pursuing growth areas in Ag, Nutrition, and Bio; for employees this means lots of opportunity to learn and diversify. Global footprint.

ConsLarge company can be slow to adapt.

    Great Beginnings

    Engineering Co-Op (Former Employee)
    Beaumont, TX

ProsThe people are great at this site. Everyone is more than willing to do their part. Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and there was good structure and organization. Goals were very apparent and communicated. There was also great team-work.

ConsDuPont seems to be selling off its chemical sites or tearing them down. Some of their systems needed to be converted into electronic systems as well as some of their documentation.

Good stable company, but no longer focused on chemistry

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood benefits and a positive overall culture. Good people that tend to try to do the right thing.

ConsVery conservative. Recently changed focus away from chemistry toward Ag/Bio. This is a major shift for the company that may create major issues down the road.

ProsPay is good. The work is fun and meaningful.

ConsThey are selling their chemicals business. They are cheap; don't even bother filling out expense reports.

    Safety professional

    Safety Professional (Current Employee)
    Circleville, OH

ProsSafety is "in front" of people. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reviews are held. Employees manage many safety committees and responsibilities.

ConsBenefits are quickly going away. Pay is flat line at best. People feel disrespected and 'taken advantage' of each day. When management says" if you don't like it, leave" then harmony and trust are broken.

    Over 20 years with Company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsSafety very important. Great benefits and good pay. Finally having a woman CEO!

ConsManagement of people. There are managers in every business who should not manage. More training needed for them. People 3 treatment must be improved.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the people doing the jobs. Don't make decisions from the top down. Get rid of all parties who are involved in workplace indiscretions not just the high level employee. It's bad for employee morale. I experienced it.
