I worked at DuPont Pioneer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers. It was a great place to work. The work was seasonal in nature, so there are times of inactivity, but plenty to do.

    Cons

Corporate management doesn't care about employees. From the employees that were there before the buyout by DuPont, it was a better place to work at when Pioneer was its own company.

I have been working at DuPont Pioneer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work is rewarding, we create the future of agriculture. Plus, were not monsters like Monsanto.

    Cons

Achievement is slow in the agriculture field, so expect to wait for results. That said, some people also think were monsanto... but were not. I promise.

    Advice to Management

Pay what I'm worth not what you can get away with paying me, your lucky to have your skilled staff.

Business casual; Flexible office schedule; Supportive office environment; Learning opportunities.

    Cons

Frequent re-structures could not fully encourage and therefore utilize employees' talent potential.

    Advice to Management

Need to encourage and support every employee so that he (she) can fully utilize his (her) potential.

I worked at DuPont Pioneer full-time

    Pros

The pay is decent and it has a fairly laid back atmosphere. The buildings are very well maintained and coworkers were always great to be around.

    Cons

Dupont being involved with Pioneer has seen the company take a downturn. The stock price has risen but company moral has dropped. They have also made it more difficult to move up the food chain. I think they also did not plan very well for the drop in commodity prices.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to realize that making it impossible to move up in the work place kills employees motivation. There is an unusually high number of people that do not think it is possible to get a promotion.

    Value your workers more.
