I have been working at Dundas Data Visualization full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Dundas focuses quite a bit on their technology and innovation. So, although its hard work and a lot is expected, we also get to work on some of the best innovations in data visualization and BI.
Get to work with a bunch of smart people. Some might think of as a con, since it's harder to stand out from the crowd, however we get to invent some awesome stuff.

    Cons

It can be a bit of a roller coaster ride sometimes, as the company is having some growing pains. However management is very open about this and will answer any questions I have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure that new staff understand that Dundas is a high paced demanding environment, so they don't slow down the rest of us.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A good company listens to the employees, encourages feedback and suggestions and most importantly creates a healthy and collaborative work environment which would make employees want to come to work everyday.

This company is the exact opposite.

I have been working at Dundas Data Visualization full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I have worked for Dundas for over 4 years and have only good things to say about the company.

-great HR department & employee advocacy.
    -great benefits.
-the company is at the top of it's game. The staff are smart, fun, and passionate about data visualization and the success of the company.
-regular special events and employee appreciation events.
-self-directed work environment, fast-paced but casual.
-gym membership to an onsite Goodlife Fitness (24 Hours).
-a great place to work, thrive, and grow!

    Cons

Vison changes because the company is growing, but this could be a pro to those who thrive in this environment.

I have been working at Dundas Data Visualization full-time

    Pros

-good environment for self directed people. If you need hand-holding this isn't the place for you (hence the bad reviews - no doubt people who couldn't handle it/didn't do jack squat and were subsequently terminated)

    Cons

-in growth mode, so the vision changes from time to time. This is actually a pro if you thrive in this type of environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep weeding out the bad folks

I worked at Dundas Data Visualization full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours. Free parking. Gym on site.

    Cons

Total lack of senior leadership. Extremely politicized environment. Lack of corporate identity, focus, and strategy. Lack of true transparency. High staff turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Stop patronizing your employees.
    2) Stop lying! Little white lies or giant whoppers - it doesn't matter. Every lie you tell is causing you to lose credibility with the employees.
    3) Each manager should ask themself the question "Could I land a job with a similar title and responsibilities at another similarly sized software company?" It would be nos across the board. Following this exercise be honest in where you need to improve and MAKE IMPROVEMENTS, don't just talk about improvements.
    4) Whoever wrote that fake positive review, please take it down, it's embarrassing.
