Current Employee – been working at Dunkin' Donuts part-time for more than a year
Pros – Free stuff.(drinks , food, nice people) Close by my house and very flexible scheduling. Pretty much i tell them when i can work and they schedule me then. Decent to good tips though.
Cons – No future at all. No raises, or crappy raises. Horribly repetitive and it sucks to serve the public. Nothing new ever happens.
Advice to Senior Management – More movement in positions if possible. Increase pay at least a little. (Humor me!!)
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Dunkin' Donuts full-time for more than a year
Pros – Free food, drinks, except Pepsi fridge.
Pepsi drinks only 1 dollar.
Easy to learn register and training.
Medical Benefits depending on the owner of the separate franchise.
Earn tips in tip jar from customers.
95% Great customers, especially the regulars whom you can be open with.
Clean machines and floors on par.
Radio is always on, so you wont get bored, when it is slow.
Cons – Almost all of the workers speak broken English and it is hard to comprehend with others, makes you feel dreadful.
15 minute break with 8 hour shift.
Slave shifts!! working overtime with little to no break because you need 2 people to work in the front, and their is only 2 workers at work after the manager leaves.
Minimum wage but it is expected for this kind of job.
Horrible management that is undertrained to work with crew members, some are very disrespectful, and since most speak broken English, when you try to communicate to the manager that they are being dis-respectful to other employees they will not comprehend or understand fully because of the language barrier.
Short on staff and unorganized positions: If you are a cashier, you have to take the customers order, you also have to prepare the coffee, make the sandwiches, select the donuts, prepare the ice cream and shake's if it's a Dunkin-Baskin Robins, and you are timed and continuously pressured by the manager one minute and 20 seconds to do all of that before handling the next customer, the manager think's the customer will get frustrated if you spend more that 1 minute 20 seconds on their order, but most of the time that is not the case. Neither the customer waiting for their order or the next customer is complaining as much as the manager. With the pressure you make more mistakes which leads to horrible service.
Also in some locations you have to cleanse and shut down the machines while handling customers with only 2 people on staff, it becomes frustrating and messy because of short staff.
Management doesn't order inventory on time or enough inventory, which leads to angry customers.
Crazy work hours, always asking to replace someone else's shift. Always asking to work an extra day when they know you have school, constant changing work schedule. One week you can work morning shifts, the next week you'll be working afternoon which you have never asked for.
Advice to Senior Management – Properly train your Managers better, make sure they know a great amount of english.
Send someone over every couple of months to make sure their are no short staff.
Make sure full time workers are equally getting their break more than 15 minutes.

Current Employee – been working at Dunkin' Donuts part-time for more than 7 years
Pros – It was a good part time job for me to start off with. I learned a lot of skills such as customer service, cash register, the importance of cleaning and interacting with coworker
Cons – the downsides are that its early mornings and short shifts most times. When i first started working there I only got like 3 hours a week and they had trouble giving me what i needed. Also they joked about giving me raises and never actually did.

Former Employee – worked at Dunkin' Donuts part-time for more than a year
Pros – provides a good pathway into future service industry jobs, as you will learn to work hard from management and other employees who may have their career at DD. It is not all just high school kids.
Cons – Difficult to move up in rank and pay
If you want to make the most money in tips, it is necessary to work as early as 4 am, which for a young person is difficult
Advice to Senior Management – Being such a large company, provide some incentives at time of hire and training. Give the employees something to look forward to.
