I have been working at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I worked there for nearly 4 months it was a great job. FREE iced lattes and coffee were the best part!!!!!! Free donuts lol and a free meal every shift. 50% off anytime you came that you weren't working. It was an all around great job laid back and very easy all you do is make coffees and get people donuts. You have to do the usual restaurant clean up; trash, sweep/mop, clean restaurants best Job ever

    Cons

The only con was having to wake up extremely early because it is a coffee job the peak business hours are early mornings.
It can get quite slow so you may be a little bored at times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They were great and laid-back

    Pros

Easy job and very flexible. Easy way to get supervisory experience if you are at least of average intelligence. Free food

    Cons

It's a franchise system so owners can be cheap and skimp on management quality, leading to low morale. Hard to attract quality store management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more resources into attracting quality leadership and think more long term instead of focusing so much on saving money in the short term.

    Pros

Free drinks and food when corporate isn't there. Tips can be good sometimes.

    Cons

Insufficient training. Management needs to help the new employees more instead of leaving them alone up front on the register. You won't know what your schedule is like the next week until Saturday.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free coffee and donuts after closing, learning fast paced customer service, independent working.

    Cons

Overly critical manager, rude customers and bad workplace ethics are the worst part of the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more professional, do not take excessive personal calls, treat employees fairly and award employees for hard work. Instead of telling employees what to do all the time in a rude manner, the manger should approach employees in a kind fashion. Employees cannot do 2-4 things at a time, this will cause confusion and distress. Payroll is another shoddy work ethic involved with management, a manger should clock out when he/she leaves the store and should not call in to get overtime pay.
