    I worked at Dunkin' Donuts

    Pros

Manager was friendly, accommodated our hours to fit our schedules and was responsive to questions.
    free donuts when closing.
regular costumers were a delight to see each day.

    Cons

Co-workers didn't really know how to deal with problem with costumers properly, could train employees better in that sense but that could just be their personality. other than that not a whole lot of cons since I only worked there for the summer months.

I have been working at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours. This is the perfect college job, since you can work in the morning and go to afternoon classes.

    Cons

Early hours are not for everyone. You may have to work some weekends. Hours are sometimes inconsistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more prepared to hire full time or part time workers for after students go back to college at the end of summer.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, good customer base, pretty interesting job activities (I got to work the register, make sandwiches, and prepare the donuts). I was not working for long enough to get a promotion, and I quit after not very long. Having new seasonal items every month or so was exciting as well.

    Cons

Low wage, of course. To be expected. A lot of time spent standing. Food gets old quick. Dealing with customers gets old quickly, but i will say the clientele at a Dunkin is was different than snooty Starbucks.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The Nashville location was not a dull place to work. The owners made a point to hire people-oriented employees, I'm sure for business, but this also enhanced the work environment.

    Cons

Clearly the pay was not great. But who seeks great pay from the food-service industry? Management is stressed out and turnover there is abnormally high. I noticed managers frequently delegating some of their "managerial duties" to minimum-wage employees out of desperation. Who could blame them under the pressure? But it's not fair to anyone, and when this happens, customer service seems to take a back seat. Facility itself is too small, which means when a shipment comes in, there are tons of boxes around the stove or by the register, and you have employees scrambling to move things into storage while business is slow enough or friends and family members coming in to help so that people can go home or serve customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Prioritize a healthy work-life balance for self and subordinates. Try not to sweat the small stuff, and be assertive with owners. Tell them when their expectations do not jive with efficient operations and why that is.
