I worked at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible Schedule, good first job. Once you become a shift leader or manager there is nowhere else for you to go from there.

    Cons

No ability to move up unless you franchise a location for yourself. Really no regular pay increase. I was there for 4 years and only made 65 cents more in that time.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free drinks and food when corporate isn't there. Tips can be good sometimes.

    Cons

Insufficient training. Management needs to help the new employees more instead of leaving them alone up front on the register. You won't know what your schedule is like the next week until Saturday.

    Pros

its a fun environment to work in, and the people you meet, who become regular customers, some times become family. along with your crew members.

    Cons

it can become a stressful environment due to miscommunication and lack of motivation from other crew members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Dunkin' Donuts

    Pros

    -Free Coffee!
    -Fun employees and good manager.
    -Donuts!
-Interacting with different kinds of people.

    Cons

At this location there is no direct deposit so we get checks on Saturdays at whatever time they decide to drop them off. Also, customers ARE SO PICKY!! They literally ask for the impossible and expect you to do it. I'm sorry but you need to make your own stuff at home if you're going to be that picky and demanding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Owners: invest in direct deposit!!!!!!!

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Free Coffee and Donuts
    Decent pay and benefits
    Full filling work

    Cons

When I worked there were a couple of upper level managers who protected their own careers by grooming others for advancement when their real motive was to set you up to take the fall if they had to have one of their layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

President/CEO should always be watching their senior managers who may be corrupt and hide the talents of others.

Dunkin Donuts was not my place to work as I wasn't able to keep up with the fast paced food industry.

I have been working at Dunkin' Donuts full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Easy job and very flexible. Easy way to get supervisory experience if you are at least of average intelligence. Free food

    Cons

It's a franchise system so owners can be cheap and skimp on management quality, leading to low morale. Hard to attract quality store management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more resources into attracting quality leadership and think more long term instead of focusing so much on saving money in the short term.
