    I worked at Dunkin' Donuts

    Pros

Great "first job" to have with nice co-workers and overall nice environment to work in. Lots of opportunities for free food as well!

    Cons

Customers will treat you pretty poorly, demand sometimes outrageous things from you, and scream at you if you do not deliver. Typical fast food environment I suppose.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps, keep a manager or shift leader on hand at all times, in case unruly customers need to be dealt with.

I have been working at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The people who you work with are young and like minded, so that makes it easy to work as a team. The people who come in to eat and drink there are friendly and eclectic. They treat you as well as you will treat them and that makes it a worthy experience.

    Cons

There was definitely a lack of communication between the managers and the crew members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would suggest better training for the managers and shift leads so that when they train the crew members, everyone is on the same page with current training and policies.

    Pros

Fun coworkers and a great dynamic with customers because most of them will be regulars.

    Cons

Management was very disorganized and the pay was barely higher than minimum wage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give raises to employees to make them try and want to earn them.

    I worked at Dunkin' Donuts

    Pros

It's a simple job. As long as you are doing your job then you'll be fine. The food and coffee is easy to make as long as you listen.

    Cons

They team up on you. You have to be strong to work at some locations because some employers are very rude.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Enhance the workers that know what they are doing. They can only be loyal for so long.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible hours (I was a full-time student during employment); Great discounts and I always got to take home leftover baked goods at the end of the day.

    Cons

Initially, I asked for 15 hours per week and was regularly scheduled upwards of 35; business was completely understaffed and employees were overworked; management did not allow tips; preparation for check-ups by higher management was done only days in advance because protocol was not regularly followed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a closer eye on your franchises; relationship with owners and managers is important, but more discipline may be necessary within that relationship.
