    Pros

Opportunity for promotion is there if you show that you are worthy.

    Cons

The company tends to slightly under pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't ignore Employees or Managers that do not fitting into the team environment or tend to cause trouble by doing unethical things. Those people need to be held accountable immediately.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee  in  Fort Worth, TX
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Fort Worth, TX

    Pros

Pay is decent looking from the outside in, but once you are in you receive more and more tasks.

    Cons

Some of the worst management. Employees are belittled, micro-managed, and at times harrased and it is accepted by Human Resources. Retaliation is also a fear all employees have. Management sticks together even if proven wrong. Human Resources is there to protect management and the company NOT the employee. Company is all about metrics instead of taking the time to take care of the customer. This company is also all about who you know. Opportunities are given to only certain people.

Current Employee - Senior Accountant in Fort Worth, TX

    Pros

There are opportunities for advancement if you are ambitious, smart and willing to work hard. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Government contractors experienced massive growth during the Bush years and now the cycle has turned. Currently in 2014 this is a very challenged sector with downsizing occurring on an ongoing basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Information and knowledge is very compartmentalized and difficult to obtain, creating an inefficient work environment and often inconsistent results. A greater emphasis should be placed on leveraging the knowledge of SMEs who can greatly reduce the learning curve for more inexperienced or temporary staff.

    Current Employee - Munitions

    Pros

The benefits offered are good for overseas.

    Cons

Working for retired military, stuck in their old ways. Long hours. Generally 2 days off a month.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Enforce code of ethics. Complaints go up and nothing is ever done to abusers.

Former Employee - Supply Tech in Baghdad (Iraq)

    Pros

The money is great in IRAQ living quarters is great for where you have to live. Food is great because it cost you nothing and you don't have to buy, cook or clean up.

    Cons

Time off is when you are not busy (rarely) you may get a day off. Policies are always good until they don't work for management. Training there is none, Benefits are what you sign up for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your people, they do the work you just jump to whatever another manager thinks who doesn't do any of the work. One day a week off keeps your employees sharper, rested and better able to cope with the unknown.
