    Pros

Great learning experience, Great co-workers in a competitive learning environment. The benefits are competitive and they match % of your 401K.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons. The work life balance proved a bit challenging but I believe that is subjective. Also the drive in traffic, I lived close to the city and the office was located 24 miles away

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the excellent work.

I have been working at Dyna-Drill Technologies full-time

    Pros

Schlumberger took over. This is the best place to work. Nice pay, nice hours, nice manager, nice bonus. If i keep on going, there will be no space.

    Cons

the cons that people are leaving, are the lazy people. If you dont work hard, you are not going anywhere. I go a new position in less than a year. People always complain. Dont listen, always do your job and be superior.

    Advice to Management

Your guys rock!. I am the management, so I guess I ROCK!!!!

    I worked at Dyna-Drill Technologies full-time

    Pros

Its a good company not the best pay for the hours though or in general for line of work but it has good benefits and its owned by Schlumberger #1 in oil and gas which helps with job security and benefits. OK chance to move up. Can be fun

    Cons

Leadership is not the greatest, Pay not the greatest, Stressful, Long hours, Too much micro management. Stupid non logical processes and rules. They look for things to get you in to trouble like sleeping on YOUR break for example in safe break areas (Keep in mind shifts go 12.5 Hours when busy) so no napping on the 15 minute breaks or 30 minute lunch? Really? average sleep per night is only about 4 hours.

    Advice to Management

Learn to open your ears not your mouths, Listen to your employees they are the experts at what they do every day. Be LEADERS not BOSSES. Do not always contradict yourselves on what you tell the employees in meetings. Do not always assume things and blame and make the job more difficult because of more rules added because of something more than likely was not taken at-least partial responsibility for by you the "LEADERSHIP".

I have been working at Dyna-Drill Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of overtime. Schlumberger is taking over, though dyna drill is fighting it so they can make things work ini favor of upper management.

    Cons

If you want a balance of family and life this is not for you. Management is not honest enough. They don't seem to value their workers. They don't value at all your personal life. Office can fail and the floor has to cover their mistakes by working more.

    Advice to Management

Don't be right, be righteous. Value your lower level workers more. Your job is suppose to be a place you enjoy working because a worker will give more of themselves to the company.

    Pros

Daniel Kalmus is a fantastic manager

    Cons

Schlumberger does not compensate at market rates.

    Pros

The opportunity to grow is available for those who are proven to be reliable The managers are understanding during the training process The schlumberger acquisition will provide future opportunities with a mega company Quarterly town hall meetings provide an outlet for new ideas from employees and it provides an opportunity for senior management to provide insight into the direction of the company. Some of the best supervisors I have ever worked for. lOvertime is available for those who have the apptitude to learn the secondary machines that need to be operated outside of their primary shift.

    Cons

Some team leads have the position b/c of time at the company.. They are not necessarily knowledgeable or leaders. Honestly, there is absolutely no confidence in some of the team leads knowledge. Its a young company so the culture is not necessarily concrete. A lot of experimenting is being done right now to find out what is the best way to do certain things. The starting pay for operators is kind of low for 3 shifts and 8 hour work days.

    Advice to Management

Invest a little bit more into your staff ( increased hourly pay, more training opportunities on cnc machines). And increase starting pay to recruit more experienced potential employees

    Pros

    Good salaries compared to competition.

    Cons

I don't believe advancement is looked at as fairly as it should.

    Advice to Management

Slow down and recognize your employees with more than just a community meeting stating "good job everyone".
