    Pros

When they were HPTG it was amazing. I loved the corporate culture and everyone was treated fairly.

    Cons

When DRC bought HPTG everything went downhill. Most of the managers left and the sense of "team" died.

    Advice to Management

Go back to what made HPTG so desirable. I am hoping Engility is a better company.

I worked at Dynamics Research full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I've had the privilege of working with the most professional, smart and caring people. Management was highly supportive and encouraged innovation.

    Cons

There seemed to be not enough funding for employee and professional development. Most of the professional development was done on own time.

    Pros

Family like atmosphere. Is currently going through an acquisition, so hopefully they will be able to keep some of it alive.

    Cons

Slow to react on some things. I felt that sometimes things moved at a glacial pace. Change will hopefully be good for them.

    Advice to Management

    no longer applicable.

    Pros

    Cons

Lower pay than is commensurate with experience. Few opportunities for growth. Some people promoted into management without people skills.

    Pros

    good programs supporting the government

Stability relies on the government spending which can be unpredictable at times. Not unlike many other firms in this business!

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Dynamics Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Values relationship-building internally and externally with the client -Management actively seeks out more project work for the future -Great benefits -Nice work-at-home policy when possible (depends on client) -Hire exceptional workers with impressive skill sets; no one on the team is a one-trick pony

    Cons

-Corporate training webinars are a little archaic; could stand to be more interactive to start conversations/discussion -Employees should have the opportunity to review their managers during performance review time -People are promoted from within, which is great, however without the proper coaching that is needed and/or required to become an effective, professional manager -Software tools needed to do our jobs are not always approved for purchase, which does not encourage quality materials or efficient work

    Advice to Management

More coaching/training is needed for middle management promotions before they actually become managers.
