    Good work values and family atmosphere. The company sticks to corporation values. There's room to grow for those who are dedicated.

    I have been working at E&A Credit Union full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Great work life balance - Numerous employee appreciation events each year (paid for by the company)

    Cons

    - Nepotism, it's basically impossible to get a promotion unless you have friends in the department you applied to. - Everyone talks about how many opportunities there are to move up but there are very, very few. It is impossible to get into management unless you're good friends with the Senior Sales & Service Manager - no matter what past experience you have. There are no opportunities to train to learn management skills if you want to move into a management position and the majority of managers there are very unprofessional and have no business being managers. - Operations (Front Line) and Support staff (behind the scenes) staff are paid at very different, unfair, rates. Operations is based on what they "sell" in addition to hourly while Support does more work and gets less an hour and no incentive pay.

    Advice to Management

    Train the managers! There should not be managers who don't know how to complete simple tasks that they oversee, how can they effectively manage something they cannot do? Promote employees based on performance and merit, not based on a popularity contest where one manager who has been there too long chooses her friends to run the place when they're unable to.

    I have been working at E&A Credit Union full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The culture is truly Unbelievable. You have a voice here at the Credit Union regardless of your position. Senior Management is always actively seeking your feedback and insight. There are TONS of opportunities for job shadowing, project teams, advancement etc. The communication is always open and welcomed. Having FUN is one of our Core values and this is done each and everyday, sometimes in small ways and sometimes in BIG ways. The Annual Employee Appreciation Party is very appreciated and not something that you see from other businesses these days.

    Cons

    Really there are no cons, it is all about what experience you are looking for and not everyone is a fit for the culture.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing - we who are here LOVE where we work and appreciate all the hard work, dedication and passion that is put into the organization.

    I have been working at E&A Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work/Life balance and work hours.

    Cons

    Nepotism (mostly in upper management). High turnover rate ( They never asked the question why). Appearance more important than results. Poor Training-boring Poor Management/uninformed- Metrics were not used as feedback mechanisms for employees and work groups, but as tools for management monitoring/control. Make the work environment a fun place to work( You have the same boring activities every year).

    Advice to Management

    Take the time to learn each employees job in your department. Learn what is important to your employees.

    Give some specific structure and guidance surrounding strategic plan, deadlines, management guidelines for salary increases, etc.
