    Pros

Good company if you are an average employee. You can hide for 36 years and retire.

    Cons

Gallo Family has lost control of their business. The senior Management Team is mediocre, unimaginative, not innovative and believes in status quo. They are trying to convert it into a public company and steal salaries and perks for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Leave and retire or go somewhere else.

    Pros

Great people. Good benefits. Highly engaged and effective CEO.

    Cons

Expectations of management are very high. Be prepared to find a way, even if the request seems unreasonable or impossible.

    Advice to Management

Employees are highly engaged and committed to the company's success, but we are at a tipping point. You may see engagement wane if we continue to expect more without adding resources or taking something else off the plate.

    Pros

    - The company treats its employees really well.
    - Various activities and services to assist employees and increase morale (i.e. excercise reward program, wine discounts, etc).
    - Decent amount of responsibility, which led to a lot of good experience.
    - Very hands off approach, but lots of resources and approachable engineers and managers made working on projects challenging but doable.
    - Very professional, yet friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

    - Sometimes there's a bit of a communication disconnect between departments.
    - There wasn't always a clear path between doing a good job on the internship, being liked by your coworkers and supervisors, and being hired by a pertinent party for a full time position.
    - The city/area is not the best region to live in. ( A lot of people commute)

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on offering options to help with work/life balance and seeking to keep employees happy. Employees have a lot of company loyalty and perform better this way.

    Pros

Great salary range, competitive with Bay Area market. Good Benefits also.

    Cons

No Work-life balance. Employees promoted too quickly, staff does not have enough experience in their current jobs, being promoted into the next. Too much turn-over in employees, no one knows what they're doing most of the time. The underlings get blamed, this creates stress that's really unnecessary.

    Advice to Management

You know the problems, fix them before its too late.
