I have been working at EBITS full-time for more than a year
Pros – support team works well together - mostly
Cons – company ethos is poor - the managing director's opinion is "it's my way or the highway", he micro-manages and runs the company by ensuring his employees fear him, there are no company benefits - although they cite Cycle to Work as a benefit; their HR person is an accounts clerk and has no HR training or knowledge of employment law practices; they have had 5 Support Managers in 5 years and, no, they did not all leave because of pregnancy (as they will tell you); Support must work 1 in 4 24/7 on-call (for no recompense) and if you miss a call because of a legitimate reason (driving, for example) you are reprimanded; they pay c5k below market rate; the department teams do not work closely together due to pressures from the MD - there is a blame culture; they ran at a loss 2011 and will do 2012; it's a niche market so they have an advantage but will never be able to grow because of their culture; webcams have been installed in all office spaces NOT for security purposes but to monitor "time at desk" - I know this because the MD told me
Advice to Senior Management – get bought out by Shell or Exxon, for the sake of your customers
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
