friendly co-workers, managers and HR personal. enterprise class technologies are abundant and there are many chances to learn high tech products and services. Education investments

    Cons

long hours, complex environment, too many managers, poor communication between departments, too many technologies implemented and wasteful spending habits. Drama and gossip issues. HR issues are frequent

I have been working at EBS full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Young and motivated colleagues, many technologies to choose from and collaboration with companies from Germany. Not sure about other projects, but I am in general free to chose they way I want to implement the application.

    Cons

While the place is nice, the computers are pretty old and slow, while the display(s) are small (maybe in 2008 they were acceptable). It's awfully slow to have one/two IDE instances open and run a virtual machine at the same time, for example.
Too much paperwork, especially monitoring of time (no real benefit, just another stressful thing to remember and do).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that a programmer has different needs than a secretary!

    Pros

Young and fun colleagues to work with. Many activities to boost the image of the company, many opportunities to get to know the colleagues.

    Cons

New employees can be dissatisfied due to no project.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care also of old employees and their needs. Be more open when it comes to salary changes.

I have been working at EBS

    Pros

reps are nice, they take care of licensure

    Cons

kept in the dark about placement, underpaid compared with similar consulting firms, relocation didn't fit area cost of living, lending library not as extensive as lead to believe, returning materials costs employee not company, tactics used to get an SLP to stay or sign on: economy is bad, children will suffer, we've treated you great, we can put you anywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay what we are worth, cut the crap, we can see through it and it makes us angry

    I worked at EBS

    Pros

EBS has exceptional talent and is a good place to learn the industry. The bonus program is nice but is used as a justification to provide lower than market base pay. If you want to learn the business and then move on this is a good place. The benefits and office space are nice.

    Cons

Senior management talks about work/life balance but do not follow it. The expectation is that you are supposed to work even on days off and holidays. The base pay is low compared to market but the bonus program is good. Senior management is not aware of what actually transpires within the organization. Promotions tend to be based on who Senior Management likes rather than who deserves to be promoted. Turnover is off the charts. HR receives feedback on what is actually going on and does nothing to resolve the situation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employee feedback they are trying to tell you something. Review salary policies. Figure out why people are leaving.
