    Pros

    Staff development is top notch and autonomy was second to none.
    My line manager cold write a book on people management. He was ace.

    I had to attend too many unnecessary meetings

    Friendly employees and management
    good work life balance
    Management empower staff and encourage cross training. Opportunity to attend courses both internal and external

    Too much bureaucracy which slows down change significantly
    Very risk averse - unwilling to take a chance so loses out on potential big wins

    Advice to Management

    Take a chance on new ideas to bring things to market more quickly, there is a lack of entrepreneurial spirit currently

    Pros

    Staff benefits, such as pension and travel allowance are generous. Also have genial people at all levels of the company

    Pay is below market average , and there appears to be a lack of clear career path. Due to glut of middle management

    Pros

    Full time job, good colleagues to work with. Local workplace. Good wages. Easy access. Good company health plan in place.

    Cons

    Extreme micro management of your work at all times, very high stress levels and lack of drive. The "new" environment is not a nice place to be.

    Interesting technical work and challenges. Big company so lots of people and chance to move around if wanted.

    Cons

    Specialist niche field, can sometimes get repetitive.

    Pros

    It's a large company and therefore there are plenty of opportunities to move around internally.

    Cons

    Job grades and salary scales are not provided which makes it difficult to plan your next move.
    EDF Energy does not get rid of poor performing staff which is demoralising for high performing staff.
    Lots of uncertainty as to where Victoria office will be relocated to.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of the poor performers - it damages the company's reputation.
