    Pros

The employees of the Credit Union make the difference.

    Cons

Sr. Management is not in-touch with the branch environment. Employees are scared of HR

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, don't offer pizza to finish employee surveys.

    Pros

Excellent retirement. Lots of health and wellness focus. Good benefits in general. Good communication on company direction and overall yearly goals.

    Cons

Treats employees like they're children instead of a group of adults. This is actually getting worse recently rather than improving. Significant internal reorganisation several times over the last few years.

    Advice to Management

Switch to PTO instead of Vacation and Sick. Discipline individual employees for having problems rather than blanked policy changing for everyone. Pick a direction for internal organisation and HR policy and stick with it.

I have been working at EECU full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small company and employees are valued. It's somewhat easy to more to new positions. The company has a lot of high tenure employees.

    Cons

Pay incentive sucks unless you have experience in banking. Having a degree is over looked when it comes to pay. The management is political and can be lazy.

    Advice to Management

All of management is political and needs to be restructured. Upper management should take more initiative within branches and listen to what employees have to say about their direct management.

I worked at EECU full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small and active in the community

    Cons

Some of the older managers/directors who have been there for so long need to give the new up & coming personnel a chance at succession.

    Advice to Management

They need to be more open minded...

    Pros

I like the fact that you interact with simple people everyday, such as teachers. Sometimes you can have crazy busy days but to be honest, it's way better than working at a huge bank. It's more personal and the team really cares for you. The team work is awesome and they employees are very kind. EECU is a great way to get your foot in the door of this type of work, "Banking".

    Cons

Depending on location is can always be busy (which is not bad) or it can be slow (that can be bad). Not many cons though, unless you are the negative type of person. Be open minded to a changing environment.

    Advice to Management

Be the example to follow. A lot of the times the Supervisor showed up late on weekends but that's not to bad. Just as long as you can lead yourself, you really don't need extra help. And to the leader the "leadership" don't play favorites, it causes disputes with in the work environment.

  11. A great place to begin a career because it filled with great leadership that empowers you to take ownership in your work

    Pros

Leadership is constantly using feedback from its staff to make EECU better. The work/life balance is very good.

    Cons

There can be a lot of pressure to hit sales goals, and sometimes the bar is set so high that even the top performers cannot reach their sales goals.

    Advice to Management

Please take into consideration that even though sales goals might not be reached, EECU is still one of the most successful credit unions around and it is because of the dedication to customer service from the employees, not the sales goals alone.
