Good benefits; you work +70hrs/week; great educational and learning opportunties

Senior Technical PM (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe health benfits are great; you have the opportunity for great training across many of the umbrella companies such as RSA, VMWare, VCE, in addition to all the products EMC sells

ConsWork in excess of 70 hrs/week; more and more administrative work; conerns over PM delivery being shipped overseas. Unless your sales, your nothing

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognize not only the sales teams; but reward the implementation & project managers that actually make it all happen. Having resources entrenched with clients while implementing one solution usually follows up with additional sales and revenue. But these resources need the financial motivation

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Live in India

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) White Plains, NY

Pros- There were some very knowledgeable people with some impressive educational accomplishments.
. If you are a "coder", you have the ability to flex your programming muscles.

ConsEverything they can possibly move off-shore, they are.
They used to be very strong in employee training through their EMC University. No longer...they are more interested in gaining new knowledge by aquiring companies than growing it organically.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou used to have a company that you could say you worked at with pride. Now, it is known as a joint where you take what you can from a US-based expert, then move it to India and dump you.

    Sales

Sales Representative (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsRazor blade business, everybody still needs disk drives.

Work hard, work smart and make your quota and you won't have any issues.

ConsIf you have the right territory you can make decent money.

Some good people are here but Some people make this place a home for life.

If you stink at Golf you better learn.. essential skill for climbing the ladder.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend more time on developing employees. Freshen up the office a little bit. Very hard to keep up to date with all the crap EMC is buying. have drifted very far away from there core business.

Advice to Senior Managementit's really hard to change the machine that is making the money so I wouldn't have any. Tucci has made a huge success but is a former sales rep and that's what the focus is on
