    Pros

    The personality of the people make it an enjoyable place to work on most days. It is very collaborative and casual, even during high-tension deadlines.

    Cons

    At times the casual workplace can turn into a lack of professionalism. Executive management tends to repeat prior mistakes and poor decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Learn from your mistakes. Diversify your interests.

    Pros

    This company provides an exciting industry and the advantages of a dynamic small business. While Corporate positions are demanding and have high expectations, jobs in the field are more short-term and flexible. Most employees are great to work with and there is truly a family feel to the Corporate office. 100% Paid Health Insurance is a huge perk.

    Cons

    Short-sighted strategy forced lay-offs last March which could have been avoided. While Senior Leadership care about the employees personally, their egotism can prevent true growth from within. No 401K match.

    Advice to Management

    Learn from the mistakes of 2011. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Set your egos aside occasionally and listen to the Managers you have hired to support your objectives. Their vision is often less cloudy than yours. While the ESOP is a nice perk, it only pays off for everyone if you make good decisions. Create a 401K match and you will lose less personnel in the tough times.

    Pros

    Great work and adventure, but terrible nepotism among senior managers prevents real growth. The diversity and exposure to a large variety of pursuing government contracts makes this a valuable stepping stone if you can last long enough to make it worth while.

    Cons

    Senior management was largely a group of people who were in the right place at the right time. If you compare their backgrounds with competitors skill sets you will find they are sorely lacking.

    Advice to Management

    Eliminate the buddy system and the UT mafia approach to leadership

    I worked at EOD Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They will hire you. Along with anyone else.

    Cons

    Extremely political. The company is controlled by a handful of old timers including a husband and wife team. They have had many serious legal difficulties that a quick google search will turn up.

    Advice to Management

    Try being honest.

    Pros

    They have an Employee Stock Option Plan. Pretty Good, that is if it is still there when you are ready to retire. If you do not mess up severely, seems like it is almost impossible to get fired.

    Cons

    On the contract job I was hired on, there were some people hired just because they were friends of Mgmt. They cannot perform the job they were hired to do. If you are a good worker, be prepared to pick up the slack. A lot of times your hard work goes unnoticed and unappreciated.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of the office and Manage. Check on the job site. Most managers couldn't manage a check book, let alone an operation. Need to hire on education and experience, not because of a piece of paper (DD-214)

    Pros

    Decent place to work for prior military or law enforcement. If you are not either of the latter then horrible place to work. They run everything like the military.

    Cons

    Upper management is very incompetent in the way they have handled contracts. More or less under bid over staffed.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing to complain about from my side. I have seen a lot of guards being treated very unfairly with promotions. "The good old boy system"

    Zu vieles zu sagen. Management ist inkompetent, zu viele Leute arbeiten am gleichen Projekt. Keine Kommunikation.

    Too many to share. Management is incompetent, too many people working on the same project. No communication.

    Advice to Management

    Neu anfangen.

    Start over.
