Loosing business from left and right

    Director (Current Employee) Munich (Germany)

ProsExcellent colleagues, nice location. Really good colleagues made the day. Very nice personal relationships to some of the colleagues. Getting more international.

ConsJapanese management not up-to-date in the business, very slow decisions, not appreciating employees, so put more focus for the engineers who are really doing the job. Outdated infrastructure.

Advice to Senior ManagementFaster execution, one direction

Terrible place to work , to stay

Process Engineer (Current Employee) Singapore (Singapore)

Pros1, You can go home on time no matter what happens.
2, Used to be a stable and relax place for retirement.

Cons1, Management have serious influence peddling problem. They only use their own people they knew.
2, No promotion is based on performance.
3, Some managers and directors are doing extreme micro-management, while some managers are totally in charge of nothing and know nothing.
    4, Extreme bureaucracy
5, No safety control, a lot of ESH issues happened, almost banned by MOM. Operators and technicians were sent to hospital quite often.
6, the knowledge level of management is low, the quality control is almost for show only. Process engineers have no understanding of process, equipment engineers are only unable to call vendor, and few technicians are doing their job.
7, If you are an experiential engineer from other fab, feel sorry to you. No one will listen to you, the only words they say is "we copy from Munich"

Advice to Senior Management1, Please use someone who have semicon industry experience as your managers, engineers and technician. Semicon industry in Singapore is very mature, don’t make a fool of yourself
2, Do not only care about your own pocket.

It's poor experience to be working there.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsIt is a German based multi-national company located in Singapore. The work stress is generally accepted. Colleagues or co-workers are friendly and generous.

ConsPoor top management's management and micro managed. Employees are not respected by the top management. Poor office environment. Not that convenient to get to the office by public transportation.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe very top management should be focusing more on the business growth and new opportunities instead of micro-managing every employees. Leave this job to the managers.
