Former Employee - Intern in Daejeon (South Korea)

I worked at ETRI as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Good job stability and stress level for a Korean company. Friendly coworkers.
    Good area to live in.
They actually gave me challenging and meaningful, yet doable tasks.
ETRI actually has some pretty impressive achievements

    Cons

It's still a Korean company, which means hierarchy and everything else that comes with that. Expect to spend a lot of time in your cubicle.
The dorms were bad. Only air-condition for 1 hour each night to save power. 2 workers per room. Very dirty floor and walls, but probably renovated by now.
The other interns had more pointless tasks such as making presentations on random subjects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Flexi time. Focus on work done and not hours spent.

    Recommends
