Great people/culture, especially considering its size

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Princeton, NJ

ProsThe company culture is pretty welcoming. From the top to the bottom, it seems that just about everybody wants to show support in helping one another. Leadership seems to care about keeping their employees happy. They take time and effort to communicate and be fair in making considerations.

ConsA surprising number of people have been at the company for what seems like forever. I can't believe the number of people I know that have been here 20, 30, 40+ years. That kind of makes for a cold welcome and a "you wouldn't know, you're new here" attitude. These are also the same people who have left their foot off the gas, coasting to retirement in most cases.

Advice to Senior ManagementWatch for the long-timers letting things stagnate. Also keep an eye out for those who think they can get away with constant unprofessional behavior just because they've been here for so long (hint - it exists).

ProsCompany offers training, great benefits, nice atmosphere.

ConsHard to advance unless you know someone.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement training should be given to supervisors yearly. Some supervisors do not have the skills to manage because they do not understand what their employees do.

    Great if you like stability

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Princeton, NJ

ProsSimilarly to working for a government office or educational facility, the work life style is very relaxed. there is an academic feel as if you were in a college campus. Many employees have been working there for over 15 years and more. They value their employees. A very different place to work at.

ConsNot too much upward mobility. Tons of red tape. A lot of politics, but then again, when is there no politics. I do not hold it against them.

Advice to Senior Managementnone. I think that they are doing okay.
