    I have been working at EX IM Bank full-time

    Pros

    Intelligent colleagues, challenging work, great autonomy in managing workload, goal oriented institution, great work-life balance, and the satisfaction of working for an agency that helps support both American jobs and international market development.

    Cons

    As with any government job, the pay may be lower than private sector opportunities. Aside from that, not much to gripe about.

    Pros

    Great location
    Training for employees and leaders
    Opportunities for travel
    People are mission-focused
    Work life programs have improved

    Cons

    Little opportunity for advancement
    Management can begin a little reactive and do not plan
    Jobs in the government are not what they used to be.

    Look at groups where employees turnover frequently. There most likely is a management issue

    I have been working at EX IM Bank full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Work is interesting and staff is professional. Atmosphere is pretty laid back.

    Cons

    Senior management does not maintain a regular dialog with staff. Since many of them travel internationally it is important they take time to engage employees.

    Establish an ongoing dialog with staff
