    Pros

    Benefits are above average and includes an employer sponsored pension plan. EY has a family friendly atmosphere and is understanding of child care issues.

    Cons

    Many advancement opportunities can require relocation.

    Advice to Management

    Stop sending so many emails!!!!

    Pros

    Great brand name within accounting world; work life balance is truly important to leadership (noone gets asked to cancel vacation, etc.)

    Cons

    Work is detailed and not very interesting; you learn a lot but also waste quite a bit of time on administrative tasks

    Advice to Management

    Stop accepting any project that offers a potential revenue spike - choose them strategically and keep them interesting for your teams.

    I worked at EY as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great people to work with, culture thrives on friendliness. Good work hours and some really nice on the job benefits with meals, travel and expense policy

    Cons

    the work isn't the most challenging work if you don't feel strongly about it but strong clients and great team to learn from, especially if its your first internship.

    Advice to Management

    Keep interns engaged and have them staffed on more projects

    - Multitude of learning opportunities - Autonomy in running engagements - Flexible work arrangements are accommodated - Smart co-workers - Young culture

    Cons

    - Work-life balance is lacking - Compensation is lower than market value in industry - Review process can be cryptic - Glass ceiling in public accounting still exists, especially at higher levels

    Advice to Management

    More experienced seniors are needed and there seems to always be a shortage. Allow more opportunities for experienced staff and early seniors to develop abroad via exchange programs. Hold more happy hour events to demonstrate appreciation for employees.

    Good base for accounting and auditing Friendly environment Great for networking

    Cons

    work life can be miserable depending on the client(s) A lot of bureaucratcy and politics and red tape if you want to move into another service line.

    Advice to Management

    Please be more succeptive to your staff and seniors as you might lose them to other firms if you don't let them transition into other Service lines.
